Your Processing Cost Grade
Based on your actual effective rate, how your transactions are qualifying, whether you're getting Level 3 processing, and a myriad of other hidden costs, fees, and charges on the actual statement you submit — not estimates.
What We Detect
The average small business loses over $2,400 per year to hidden processing fees. Over 90% of merchants are overpaying right now. Here is what to look for on your statement.
Charged just for having an account. Often labeled 'service fee' or 'account maintenance' — with no service rendered.
You're billed every month just to receive your own statement — even if it's delivered digitally at zero cost to the processor.
If your processing volume dips below a threshold, you're charged the difference. Seasonal businesses get hit hardest.
A monthly fee for the digital gateway that connects your website to the payment network — often bundled and hidden.
An extra monthly charge on top of per-batch fees. Processors charge it without any corresponding action or service.
Some processors charge you a fee to file the tax form they are legally required to file on your behalf anyway.
Charged every time a card is swiped, dipped, or tapped — even if the transaction is declined or reversed.
Charged once per day when you close your batch. Some processors charge both a batch fee AND a monthly settlement fee.
A fraud-check fee on every keyed or online transaction. Small per-transaction, but adds up fast at high volume.
Transactions that don't meet the processor's 'qualified' criteria get hit with a surcharge — often without explanation.
Premium, rewards, and corporate cards cost more to process. Most merchants don't know how much of their volume is affected.
A per-transaction fee charged by card networks (e.g. Mastercard NABU fee) that processors often mark up or bury.
Charged monthly even when you're already compliant. Most merchants are compliant through their hardware — they just don't know it.
If you haven't completed your annual security questionnaire, processors charge a penalty — sometimes for years unnoticed.
A monthly 'insurance' fee bundled into your statement. Coverage is often minimal and the fee is rarely disclosed upfront.
Every dispute costs you a fee — win or lose. Plus you lose the sale amount and spend hours on paperwork.
Buried in the fine print. Cancel before your contract ends and you owe hundreds — sometimes thousands under 'liquidated damages' clauses.
A yearly fee charged on top of all monthly fees. Often auto-renewed without notice and labeled as a 'membership' or 'program fee.'
Processors lease terminals for $30–$100/month on 4-year contracts. The same terminal sells for $200–$400 outright.
B2B and government merchants who don't submit enhanced transaction data leave significant savings on the table every month.

About Us
Get My Profit Score is a division of The Coalition — a team of business advisors dedicated to helping small and mid-size businesses reduce operating costs and grow their bottom line.
We built this tool because we were tired of watching business owners overpay for processing while their current provider kept the savings hidden in fine print. Every merchant deserves to know exactly what they're paying — and why.

Business owners across every industry discovered what they were really paying — and what they could save.

"I had no idea I was being charged a monthly fee just to be 'compliant.' After the free analysis I found out I was paying for three fees I never agreed to. Switched processors and haven't looked back."

"Running a restaurant, every dollar counts. My score came back a D and I thought I was doing fine. Turns out my processor was adding a batch fee, a statement fee, AND a network access fee every single month."

"I uploaded my statement expecting to be fine — I wasn't. My transactions weren't qualifying at the best rate because nobody told me about Level 3 processing. This tool changed how I think about my costs."

"The analysis showed me I was paying a 3.1% effective rate. I thought that was normal. It's not. After switching I'm at 1.9% and saving over $800 a month. Wish I'd done this years ago."

"Been in business 22 years and never questioned my processing fees. This was the first time anyone actually showed me a line-by-line breakdown of what I was paying. Eye-opening doesn't cover it."

"My members pay monthly memberships on card. I was losing hundreds every month to fees I didn't understand. The score report showed me exactly where the money was going and how to stop the bleed."

"I assumed my processor was reputable so the rates were fair. Wrong. The analysis caught a non-qualified surcharge on almost every transaction. That alone was costing me $600 a month extra."

"I got a C on my score and thought that was acceptable. My advisor explained that even a C means I'm overpaying by thousands per year. Getting to a B saved my boutique over $11,000 annually."
